Zinc backsplashes
Zinc backsplashes are a wonderful addition to a classic or transitional kitchen decor. A great alternative to tile splashes, zinc is available in a matte or patina finish. Zinc is a reactive metal that has a “living finish.” This finish will evolve throughout the lifetime of the material and will develop light and dark areas that combine and blend together to form its unique pattern of use.
Zinc’s casual look makes the kitchen feel inviting and lived-in, especially as it develops its trademark patina that grows with age and use.
We do not use a coating on our metal products, we prefer to work with raw materials and allow the metal to develop its patina over time. We can, however, apply a chemical patina in our shop before installation. This patina will be darker than what would occur naturally and will be more consistent. The patina finish will also continue to evolve over time.
