A popular trend in kitchen design is to include LED light strips along the cabinetry. This is an inexpensive and energy efficient way to infuse light to areas of the kitchen that are typically dark or are difficult to see at night.

For glass countertops, especially fusion glass, using LED lighting adds another dimension to the countertop. When combined with fusion glass, either by using affixing the lights to the edge along the cabinetry or underneath the glass top, the texture of the glass is highlighted.

Each fusion glass countertop has a unique texture. In a dark kitchen, this texture may get lost, and you won’t be able to appreciate the full beauty of this artisanal material. LED light strips make it easy to see the texture and color of the countertop.
